From September 20, 2025, to March 22, 2026, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London will present Marie Antoinette Style, sponsored by Manolo Blahnik. Featuring around 250 objects, including exceptional loans from the Château de Versailles shown outside France for the first time, the exhibition offers an unprecedented look at the legacy of France’s last queen.
Highlights include Marie Antoinette’s silk slippers, jewels from her private collection, fragments of court dress, dinner service from the Petit Trianon, and the final note she ever wrote. Alongside these treasures, the show also explores her enduring influence on fashion and culture, with designs from Dior, Chanel, Moschino, and Vivienne Westwood, as well as costumes from Sofia Coppola’s Oscar-winning film Marie Antoinette.
Through immersive displays, multimedia installations, and theatrical staging, the exhibition reconsiders the legacy of a complex and controversial figure—an early modern “celebrity” whose style, glamour, and tragedy continue to fascinate and inspire across centuries.
